    Responsive web Design

A number of users use small screen devices like tablets and netbooks to view the Internet.
A responsive web design, built with HTML5 and CSS3, allows a website to 'just work' across multiple devices and screens.

With just a few lines of CSS we can change the way content displays based upon things such as viewport width, screen aspect ratio, orientation (landscape or portrait).
    Advantages of Responsive Design
    1. Flexible
    2.  Excellent User Experience

    • Cost Effective
One website costs less than two, and the savings can be substantial. Sites designed solely for mobile device traffic don’t offer the advanced navigational techniques found in traditional websites, and they also require the user to maintain two separate web addresses for your site.
    • It is Recommended By Google

With 67 percent search market share, when Google speaks, search marketers listen. Google states that responsive web design is its recommended mobile configuration, and even goes so far as to refer to responsive web design as the industry best practice.
This is because responsive design sites have one URL and the same HTML, regardless of device, which makes it easier and more efficient for Google to
crawl, index, and organize content. Contrast this with a separate mobile site which has a different URL and different HTML than its desktop counterpart, requiring Google to crawl and index multiple versions of the same site.
One URL is much easier for users to share, interact with, and link to than content that lives on a separate mobile site.
    • Very Easy to manage

Having a separate desktop and mobile site requires having separate SEO campaigns. Managing one site and one SEO campaign is far easier than managing two sites and two SEO campaigns. This is a key advantage a responsive website has over a separate mobile site.

    • No need for multiple platform specific apps
Although having an app in the Apple store might sound like a great idea, how about then having to develop another app for android and then another windows phones? A responsive website is viewable by all devices which means you’ll keep costs down without compromising on user experience.

    • Publish content only once
Staying on top of one website can be hard enough at times, but when you have multiple websites or apps for different devices it becomes even more time consuming. As responsive websites are a single site with different layouts, the process of maintaining your website is streamlined. This means you update a page once and the change will take effect across all devices instantly and offers superior ROI.

    • SEO benefits
As well as saving time by having just a single website to maintain, there are also SEO benefits to this approach. Instead of having to build links and traffic to multiple sites, responsive web design lets you concentrate all your SEO efforts on one website meaning all link juice goes to the same place with no site-slowing redirects.
